I ordered a T400 Friday night (March 20) and I just got a notification this morning (Monday, March 23) that it shipped. I am so amazed. My roommate ordered one on the March 3, and it still hasn't shipped. This is mostly due to the scarcity of the WGXA+ LED screens. I ordered a X61 Tablet like a year and a half ago, and it took almost 2 months to ship.

I just wanted to post some amazing news. I just hope that everything is good, considering it was built so fast.

please post some feedback regarding viewing angles/color accuracy and panel manufacturer when you receive the laptop with that panel. I am trying to get as much info as possible about it before ordering one myself.

Will do Zenit. I ordered mine with standard shipping, so I probably won't get it for another week or so.

Probably a temporary delay due to the eruption of Mount Redoubt in Alaska - a lot of flights from Hong Kong route via Anchorage and I suspect might be disrupted by the resulting ashfall.

Could it be that someone canceled an order with the same configuration?

That's what I was thinking too. Either that or it was prebuilt. That's way too fast for a computer company. My brother bought a Studio XPS 1340 a while back and it took at least a week to build. It has only been a weekend since I ordered my T400. I'm hoping it was just because Lenovo is cool like that. haha. I sent in my X61 last year a day before Christmas, and it came back on the day after Christmas. I was getting my whole chasis replaced. I was shocked too when it came the next morning.

Update: My T400 just got to Alaska, but it now says NATURAL DISASTER!
-_-.....There was an estimated ship date on there that stated 3/27/09, but that went down once it passed HK. Strange. I was hoping i'd have a new notebook to play with this weekend but I guess not. What do guys supose is the natural disaster in AK?

Yeah, I got the NATURAL DISASTER description as well. Honestly, I don't even care that much that my laptop may be delayed another few days. I just think it's awesome that my T400 was just blocked entrance into the continental United States by a freaking volcano.

    Sweet.
