    Hey guys,
I've recently had a problem with my T61p going crazy on my while playing some Warcraft3 (dota). I haven't had this occur before, so I don't know what to make of it. My computer screen usually starts freaking out, followed by the sound looping or stopping alltogther. I'm not a patient man, so i hard reset when this occurs.

Once, i had the computer blue screen on me, saying it was nv4 disp drivers fault. But ive had these drivers since i clean installed XP on my rig in January, and have had no such problems before, so im unsure of whether this is a driver issue. Id tell you what drivers i have, but i dont remember which I installed and dont know how to check.

After looking around in the forums, i found someone mentioning that it probably isnt a heating problem, since (he argued) the computer would turn off if it were, rather than simply blue screening. I freaking initially when these problems started happening, (my laptops my baby...) and bought a notebook cooler for it, but it still occurs.

Oh and i forgot to mention, i tried playing some campaign and it still occurs, so i think i can rule out internet error and other random human fault (like me being kicked by the host, etc)

Id like to note that i due use many programs in tandem, like itunes and utorrent while playing War3, and I have 2 Gb of ram, so that may be a cause.

Does nyone have any information for me? I'd really like this to stop happening,
and would like to fix it before it becomes chronic if it means im abusing my system.

Do you run it off a disc? I know it's a long-shot but have you tried disabling your optical drive's DLA (R-click>prop)? I know that feature was BSOD'ing me when I played Oblivion.

Reinstall War3. Run memtest86 to check your RAM.

Nope, i dont run it off a disk, Blizzard patched it and allows you play the game without a disk.
ill go try what Admlam suggested and get back to you guys.
