So I accidentally sat on my T400s and cracked a small piece of the back case and also cracked the screen. What are my options to replace the screen?

I see the LED replacement for the samsung part LTN141BT08 is like $400! Ouch. Is there any cheaper option? Can I use a different screen?

    Thank you!!!

Well that's sad, I thought lenovo has a really good protection built in for screen not to crack when you may sit on it. More than that, I watched couple of clips on youtube where they specifically test that (a dirt motorcycle or dropping a steel/metal ball on it's lid).

I'm sorry I know I'm not of big help, but how did you manage to sit and crack it? Was it open or closed?

those laptops that they tested on that had the magnesium rollcage built into the top cover, the T400s doesn't have the magnesium rollcage in the top cover.

I see, slimness has a price... too big though, imo.

Hit the Service and Training site. It has videos showing how to do it. There's a link in the sticky. I don't know if it's refurbed or what, but here's a T400s screen for a more palatable $245. It probably is refurbed from the 30 day warranty, but it probably doesn't have a crack it it.

wonder if this one would work... its the only thing i've seen with a similar connector..

Also maybe you could get your screen cable out, look at the connector to the motherboard. You might have a lot more options if other lenovo t400 cables fit.
