How much of a difference in performance will I see between a T7700 Vs a T9300 in a Lenovo T61/T61p ?? No more T61p's left at Lenovo's website , but did see a couple elsewhere with the slightly older T7700 cpu. And we thank you for your support.

The T9300 is based on the newer 45nm Penryn architecture, which is much more energy efficient than the previous 65nm Merom generation (T7700).
The 6MB vs 4MB cache won't do you much good running non-intensive applications, but a slight performance boost will be noticeable in CPU-intensive tasks with the T9300.
The Penryns are known to have a good voltage-tolerance, hence they undervolt very well.
(Check out the CPU charts here to get an idea about the performance difference.)

The T7700 is a powerful CPU.

Not much if any in my opinion.
