There's a coupon code for this month, __XJUNESAVINGS2012 (I'm in Canada, so CAXJ...), but I only started looking a the ThinkPad a couple days ago and the coupon expires Wednesday (I think), but I haven't had a chance to talk to my parents. If I hold off, will there be an equivalent or greater code for July?

Doesn't appear so. Whatever, I'm happy with my price on the ThinkPad W530. It's $1,588 with the upgraded screen, 3720Qm, 500GB 7200RPM HDD, backlit keyboard, Ultimate-N wifi, and 3 year basic warranty. This uses the Canadian Student site and the june savings code. Hope there's a july one, unless I order tomorrow night.

I never had to prove anything to use the Barnes and Noble Gold site - everyone, including non-students, seem to use it. Unless it blocks shipping to Canada, I don't see why you wouldn't be able to use it for the discount.

In the end though, there are almost always discounts with Lenovo. Just wait and soon there will be a new discount.

Yeah it won't ship to Canada from the B&N site. But I'm using the Canadian student site, so it's a fairly good price.

I'll be ordering July 14th, as my mom wants to wait for a new credit card cycle, as if she spends more than $2,000 a month, she gets $0.10/l off gas. So hopefully there is an equivalent or greater CAXJULYSAVINGS2012 or something.

There is always a coupon on the Canadian student site. Though, sometimes they get a bit better/worse (+/- 2% usually from what I've seen). That's just my observation over the past year, I mean, just because it has happened for the past 12 months doesn't guarantee that it'll happen for the 13th, but it's a pretty good guess. :p
