hey guys, i just got my r61 repaired, im waiting for it to come back on monday, but i have some questions while im waiting, im thinking about buying a new third-party 9 cell battery from ebay, im just wondering do these batteries have a disadvantage to the genuine version, also i just wanted to know that in the future if i ever felt that i wanted to, could i change my T5250 CPU to maybe a T7100 or T7500, are they the same socket?

    1) Is your model a 14.1" or 15.4"? Only the 15.4" models have 9-cell batteries. 14.1" models have a 7-cell battery as the most.

    2) I would be a bit sketchy on the quality of the batteries being sold. I cannot think of any disadvantages at the top of my head, maybe someone else could elaborate here.

    3) You can upgrade to any processor that is a Socket P processor. In other words, yes.
