So my cousin was trying to inquire about an x201s machine from his Lenovo rep (my cousin works at a University in CA), and the rep said due to the i7 shortages Lenovo did not expect to be able to fill orders again until Oct.

Given supply capacity Intel has this might not be all that ridiculous of a claim even with them ramping up.

If anything I don't think we will see the x201s or x201t up on the website for quite some time.

Suspiciously in line with the beginning of the Fall semester, I'm suspecting the university computer guy got it wrong.

What? The university is a CLIENT of Lenovo's. Has nothing to do with back to school sales. This is for an IT professional who works at a university.

Edited my original post to make that more clear.
