I know the core 2 duo processors will soon be implanted into the new thinkpad models, my question is will Lenovo upgrade other parts along with the CPU, such as: better Video cards?
It would be wonderful to own a new Core 2 Duo Thinkpad with a powerful GPU.
-
Why would they not sell the latest thing? I am sure they will be selling notebooks with the Core 2 Duos as soon as they come out. The Core 2 is not superbly faster than the present. That's my understanding.
-
Actually, probably not initially. Not until they refresh the line, they're just going to do what everyone else is doing initially, and that is drop the processor in current models they have.
-
yeah.. They will do it eventually.. but i couldn't wait any longer for merom. core duos are still taking to reach to ppl from lenovo. who knows how long it'll take for merom. so i went with a core duo for now. bought a T60.
and also i think they don't put latest GPU because of heat fractor and stablity. I've seen a lot of ppl complaining abt ATI X1600's driver stability and heat production. -
ShamuaL, how much did it cost you for the T60 with flexview? Shoot me a pm when you can .
-
The cheapest I have seent he FlexView is about $1700.
-
at a college, one per student with proven registration.
Everyone else is still paying about $2k and more for T60p -
