When I use the laptop on my lap I'm blocking the vents under the middle of the notebook where I think the processor may be as the processor seems to heat up quite a bit. I'm going to get a cooler for this problem but need help deciding between the coolermaster x-lite and the coolermaster u2. Which would be better for the Y470 when its on my lap. Any help is much appreciated and its pretty urgent.

I'd suggest the Notepal U2 as you can adjust the two fans to match the two vent areas at the bottom of the y470.

Thanks so much for the reply!

So I guess its the U2 then. One more question, would the u2 be usable on my lap, i.e would the fans rest on my lap as I have no idea how much distance the fans would be to my lap according to the incline of the cooler.

That part I'm not sure about as I don't have one myself. Perhaps somebody who's actually used one can comment?
