I just setup my T500 using the instructions for a clean install. However, I needed to install Access Connections to turn-on bluetooth so that I could install all the Bluetooth drivers.

I would like to uninstall AC now, but I like the ability to selectively turn off Bluetooth and WLAN. Is there any other utility that will allow that?

You can do it via Device manager.

You can also create shortcuts in the desktop to disable/enable them. Just do a quick search.

You just need the Hotkey driver to selectively turn off Bluetooth and WLAN (Fn-F5). Access Connections is not needed.

Exactly. I did a clean install and I didn't need to install Access connections to be able to turn on/off my Bluetooth/Wifi. I just hit Fn+F5 and get a little black windows that pops up. I choose what to turn on/off from there.

One can also turn on via Start Menu > Control Panel > Classic View > Bluetooth
