    Hi guys,

If I turn Conservation Mode on, what happens if I shut down the laptop? if I leave the laptop connected to the charger, will it start charging while off?

If not, how so? How can the laptop tell if this setting is on while shut down?

    (I have the Yoga 510)

    Thanks!!!

If you plug the charger into the laptop, it will charge until it reaches the maximum charge capacity and then it will stop charging, regardless of whether it's on or off.

I have a yoga 2 pro, and it stays at 60 percent even while shutdown and plugged in. I would assume yours would work the same way, but you can always try it to find out. I have kept my yoga 2 pro in conservation mode for the past 4 years (I keep it plugged in all the time pretty much), and my battery is still really healthy. Can get about 4 hours of office type use on it, which I think is pretty amazing for a 4 year old battery. Obviously the battery hasn't gone through many cycles, but still, a 4 year old battery performing almost the same as new is pretty amazing!
