I've been getting some fan errors lately (X200 7454CTO) Althought the fan works ok usually and I monitor it using tpfancontrol, I still decided to order a new fan.

On the fan I've got now the P/N is 44C9549 and the fan is made by Toshiba.
On the HMM (April 2012) the FRU listed is:
    Fan assembly, NV, 25 W for X200 , 7454-all, 45N4782
and in another row you can find:
    Fan assembly, NV, 35 W for X200 , 7454-CTO, 44C9550

Since I've guessed 25W and 35W stand for the CPU voltage, It seems confusing to find that I've got FRU 44C9549 which is close to 44C9550 while I've got a P8600 cpu which is 25W.
I've seen on another thread here that someone ordered the 44C9550 and it was ok.

Can someone help clear the mismatch between the original part no and the HMM no? also I see that the part no regards the fan and heat sink, as I see from ebay almost all the sellers sell the fan+heat sink from used computers, and it seems quite not useful to buy a used fan and not a new one.
Also, I see that all fans are made by a company called Sunon? has someone used their products?

sorry for the long post but any help will be appreciated.

The laptop should be able to take the HSF if it is listed under it. Having a 35W HSF on a 25W CPU is a good thing, since it has a higher ability to dissipate heat.

I didn't had hear problems so I'm less worried even that the 25W HSF will do it's job. Just worried that something might not fit.

anyway, is replacing the fan only is possible in this HSF's? seems unnecessary to replace the metal plate.
