    Completely Draining Battery on first use?

    Just got my new T430. Should I completely drain the batteries a couple times?

    Most definitely not. Draining a battery completely should only be done if you're having problems with the reported battery charge being inconsistent with the actual charge level, to recalibrate it. Doing so too often has a detrimental impact on the lifespan of the lithium-ion battery.
