Hey guys I am a student who because I didn't shut my laptop case correctly when doing some mods, over a few weeks, basically had the display pin on my laptop touch the heatsink and kill the backlight. I am thinking of getting a new laptop the 440s, but ideally I loved the quiet, ergonomic real estate of the Samsung Series 7, and what I term 'lazy surfing' wit hthe ease of the trackpad from my bed. I wonder in terms of keyboard layout and let's say a $1200 budget, whether I can find someone similar in terms of trackpads.

Also some information is hard to come buy on trackpads. Ie what network card the 440s comes with by default (ie is it a 7260, can I even install that since many thinkpads have proprietary network cards).

What are some other thinkpads consideraotins to have? Should I worry about proprietary software?

Also on the 440s can I click on the bottom part of the track pad, is that clickable? Ie your in bed and have the most leverage onthe BOTTOM of the trackpad. Also does the trackpad's senstivity hinder clicking the bottom of the trackpad? Can I play with the sensitivity of the trackpad easily?
