    Hi,

Background history : Im having major issues calibrating my thinkpad. I have tried spyderPRO (which is currently uninstalled because it wasnt working). I have installed Adobe Gamma (which im not really sure if its running..). And I have fiddled with the Nvadia "desktop color management settings".

The issue now : Now my color is gorgeous - I love it. Its great. Except - its NOT translating in IE or firefox. Its DULL. The color is washed out. I have the same photographs on my desktop as my website, and the website photographs are washed out for both browsers (all websites..and photos are in srgb).

Any ideas why? I am pulling my hair out.

Old problem... check it out. Use sRGB for your photos on the web.

Curious... which spyder did you use? Was it version 1? Because Spyder pro2 and now 3 are much better.

    Cheers

Anyone know if the Device profile and viewing conditions profile might have something to do with it?

In Color Management : In the devices tab i have it set to Thinkpad Display etc etc.icm Then in the Advanced Tap for Device Profile I have the same set. Then in viewing conditions I have WCS profile for sRGB viewing conditions.

In the profile area it has the device profile as WsRGB.cdmp
And the viewing conditions profile as D65.camp

    Could that be the issue?

    Some more info.
    http://www.gballard.net/psd/go_live_page_profile/embeddedJPEGprofiles.html

Try Firefox 3 or Safari for Windows.

I am not sure why you are having so many colour issues. You might just have a bad display or whacked out colourspace?

    EDIT:

    Wow, uhm maybe?
