The clock on my daughters R51 loses several hours every two days. Thinkpad was bought for a Christmas gift. Any ideas?

Maybe a BIOS update would fix this. Since it is still under warranty, I would contact IBM. Their support is quite good.

1st make sure you have the right time zone selected in the OS, windows will keep changing your time on you if you don't. If the time zone is correct, then call IBM. They can get it fixed and back to you in just 3-5 days.
