My new T60 T2500 (2.0 Ghz) 2MB Ram shows only 997Ghz of 2,000Ghz in Systems under Performance & Maintenance within the Control Panel.

    Nothing is Processing/Running!

    Am I missing something!

    Thanks,

    Sircas

there could be 2 reasons, 1 - your running on AC and your battery is removed, or your SpeedStep clocks it down to 1Ghz, although i have a 2.0Ghz too and mine clocks down to 800mhz at rest, and 1200mhz with the battery out, although i think you have the low voltage processor so its probablly different for you

Just for the record, my R61 has the T5250 1500Mhz processor and clocks down to 1000Mhz in max. battery life mode.

^^ glad to here, just so you know if you go into thinkpad power management you can set it to max performance and it will go back to standard clocks. Thats what I did and I only lost like 15 min from battery life.
