The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    I've done a quick search to see if this has mentioned, but didn't spot anything,

    I thought I'd let people know that if you use the Thinkpad system update app, and see the Client Security Solution update (that runs all the fingerprint software etc) version 8.00.0311.00, it lists it as 470mb odd!

    It's actually only around 47mb download, and it could be my imagination, but i think my system boots a little quicker with the new version if nothing else.

    I'd put off downloading it for a good while thinking it was gigantic (and also not realising what it actually was then, heh)

    daft bug, or daft person typing out the file details..
