Every time I turn on my Thinkpad, the Client Security Solution box appears on the desktop, asking me to type my password (or "cancel"). How do I stop it from showing up again?? I opened the client security solution in ThinkVantage but couldn't find anything helpul.

p.s. I don't know when this started, but it's not from the very beginning. Don't know how it got there and now every time I turn on machine

Do you mean uninstall it? Shouldn't there be some other way? I could always re-install it from Lenovo web site?

Is this the fingerprint enrollment app? If so, there should be a checkbox in the lower left corner that says "Show at Startup". Simply uncheck that box, restart, and you should be good.

If you are referring to the Password manager you just may need to dump it. That thing popped up like crazy on my OEM Vista install.

It's the password manager thing. It was not there in the beginning. Somehow got there and wouldn't go at each session. Before I uninstall it--no harm, right? Can always get it back from Lenovo download? web site?

You could stop the Client Security software from turning on with Windows via MSCONFIG.

Thanks! Just ran MSCONFIG and found "cssauth" under "start up" tab, which is apparently the one. Unchecked it. Thank you for the help!
