    Hi,

Ive got a T61 which Im planning to add UWB to.

Currently my clear plate has icons for wifi and bluetooth.

I'd like to buy the clear plate similar to the one on merlins blog which has another wireless indicator in place of the bluetooth icon.

Is it possible to buy a T61 clear plate with this icon or do I have to buy a T61p one?

    Thanks

I don't think there's any difference. I've bough a Clear plate kit and I think they only cost about seven dollars and you get multiple copies of every conceivable clear plate.

You know.... I think I have the clearplate you want in my hand. In the same clear plate kit, there are both T61 and T61p clearplates. I have a t61 clearplate kit displaying WLAN, UWB and WLAN if you are interested.

    hi,

    thanks for the response.

I wasn't aware that the clear plate kit had multiple plates, and I think you've answered my question.

I'll put in an order with Lenovo then. Since theyre that cheap and Im in Australia I wont trouble you with international postage.

Ive PM'd you with a few questions on your upgrading threads.

On a separate note, was it hard to remove the clear plate?

but what about the extra led indicator that you will need? You may get the plate, but there needs to be an underlying green led, correct?

I assumed that the led's are there.

We'll have to get Renee to comment on this one.

The LEDs were all there in a subassembly in my system
