I notice that fingerprints show up quite readily on the matte finished X200T and they are not easy to remove. Has anyone found a good method for cleaning the surface without damaging it?

I just cleaned my T61 10 minutes ago in fact :) For as long as I've owned laptops (and both my current Thinkpads), I've found that a (warm) damp cloth works wonders. Every month/3 weeks or so I take a face cloth, put it in warm water and ring it out VERY well so its still warm, and is a LITTLE water in it. I then take it, and wipe clean the LCD, keyboard, and back of the screen (the rubberized part). This method has worked just great for me over the years. No cleaning solvent is involved, just water, and a lint free cloth will do just fine. My laptops still look brand new.
Good luck, I'm sure you'll get many other responses as well.

Baby wipe with wet toilet paper has worked for me. Then quickly dry by blowing air from mouth on screen. No prints bro. Water alone wont do it.

face toner like clean and clear works a treat on Thinkpad's rubberised surfaces, and they are not harsh on them like other cleaners are, once you finished cleaning them, they would look like new (unless you have permanent scratches or wear off spots that is).

Thanks for the advice. I am interested in removing prints from the outside cover, as I will be carrying this tablet from room to room.
