So, has anyone figured out what kind of solvent works best when cleaning off the fingerprints and smudges off of your thinkpad lids?

I don't really worry about it too much, but I just use a cloth or microfiber towel to kinda rub the smudges off. I would be careful of using any strong solvent; a lint-free towel with a little water should do the trick.

I've just been using paper towel with a little bit of water. Seems to work fine. I wish these new Thinkpads had kept the same material on the lid as the older ones. My girlfriend has an R60, and the textured plastic on the lid seems to be much more durable. She carrys her lappy in a backpack loaded with other junk, and after 6 months, there are almost no blemishes on her lid. The lid of my T61 seems to be gathering small marks on it - I don't even know what they're from!

EDIT: Good thinking vespoli... a microfiber cloth would be more appropriate than paper towel.

I just use a microfiber and it works great.
