Is there anyway that I can do a clean install of Vista without buying the CD's? I just received my T61p and have 90+processes and my RAM usage is 40% idle with 4gb of RAM.

Use the hidden partition by pressing F11 at the Thinkpad screen and booting into Rescue and Recovery.

Do what optomos said and choose to do a custom install, you'll get to choose the programs you want installed.

Perform the custom install and it won't have all the bloatware. You'll get to decide what you want to install and what you don't want to.

    It's semi-clean.
