Recently bought a Lenovo g530-444623U... It came with Vista Basic.

    1. Burn a copy of Windows Vista Basic Retail

    2. Download all neccessary drivers from Lenovo/Burn to cd

    3. Delete all partitions, and then Install.

also will my Vista Basic authenticate? It came with Windows Vista Basic

You haven't said much. Especially, tell in some detail, what number 1 is.

Only if you use the retail key. The license on your Notebook is OEM. You'd need the Lenovo OEM Disc to reinstall windows.

Basically no. Your key wont authenticate if you use your OEM key on a retail vista install disc.

I doubt that you can. You'll just have get a new copy. You may as well wait for Windows 7.

Read everything in the Clean install guide in the forum. I just performed my first clean install earlier this week and followed the guide religiously.

I think you can call Lenovo for an OEM Installation Disc.

No, Lenovo will only give you (for something like $45) the recovery disks, which is a set of disk images to restore it back to factory settings, not a clean install.
