    Hi,

I'm thinking of getting Windows 7. When I got my T61 notebook I did a clean install of Vista which worked very good.

If I install Windows 7 will I then be able to install the system and then use Lenovo System Update to get the neccesary drivers ? Or is it better to download the drivers from Lenovo's website one by one ?

    Regards,
    Jakob

Windows 7 should install most of your drivers without a problem (through Windows Update). You can do either one, but the Lenovo system update would automate the process and handle any remaining drivers that Windows doesn't do.

Most people here, caution against using System Update for automated install of drivers. I usually install it purely to notify me of the existence of updated drivers. Once I am made privy, I grab them and install them manually. That's not to say that many have not had success doing it the System Update route, let your conscience be your guide.
