    Finally, I have gotten a Thinkpad in my hands!

    I just feel theres alot of junk I really don't need, and want to ask the community how many have you done a clean install? And your comments about it I would really appreciate it.

    I tend to do a clean install on my ThinkPads, it just gives me a bit more control on what goes on my system and what doesn't. Normally I would be able to trim around 35 processes on average from a factory install.

    Do make a set of recovery discs though before doing anything so you got backup should things go wrong (or wish to resell later on). I written a basic guide on how to do a clean install on the T420 for reference in which you can find on the T420 thread.
