    Hi,
I'm about to purchase a z60m and I was wondering if it is difficult to change the HD and RAM. I've read somewhere about bumpers around the HD for protection so that has me a bit worried. Also, will it void the warranty? Thanks.

It will not void the warranty. The service manaul, located on Lenovo's site, will explain how to do the upgrades.

HD is easily swapped by removing one scre on the bottom for its cover, then sliding out the tray that the Hd sits inside of. Then you pop off the rubber bumpers, unscrew the framework, and take the bare HD out, reverse now.

Memory is a bit more in depth, but not that difficult. You remove 3-4 screws on the bottom of the case, flip the unit over, and pop off the wrist pad. You need to watch the video or something, because it is hard to explain which direction you aim the force to bend the thing in such a way to unclip the clips. Once the top part is poped up, you slide the entire rest back about 1-2cm until it is free.

I just left the touchpad stuff connected, and plugged in the ram. Installing it back together took a few tries before I could get it lined up without overly forcing anything.
