    Hi guys,

I've recently bought a T440 but im a bit disappointed about the screen. Therefore i would like to upgrade it to an IPS screen if possible. My current one is a touch screen and i havent been able to find anything about replacing a touch screen only non touch.

Info about my current screen: http://imageshack.dk//viewimage.php?file=/imagesfree/r9b53820.jpg

I have found this screen http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-14-0-LC...N01-2-for-Lenovo-ThinkPad-T440s-/161533586609

    Would that fit?

    Thanks

    Welcome to the forum!

That screen should be plug & play for your machine. I'd just check whether the LCD cable needs to be replaced as well, you can download the HMM from Lenovo's website and verify the part numbers.

    Happy upgrading.

Can someone confirm whether the brightness controls work with the FullHD screen in the T440 or not?

It should work. I swapped the crap TN low res panel from a T440p to an AUO-B140HAN01.2, and the brightness controls work under Windows 7. No need to change cable.
From T450 onwards Lenovo implemented the issue with "non-standard" equipment due to the EDID thing.
