I have been thinking that I should have ordered the
T7500 instead of the T7300 but I am afraid to call
about my order as I don't want to lose my combo
of discounts, (spp and 5% coupon) but I've been
obsessing over whether or not I should
have ordered the T7500 instead of the T7300 as
it would have been only been about $100 more.
So what do you guys think? Is it worth trying to change?
Will they apply the combo discounts to the additional
$100 or will I risk losing the deal all together? I
emailed them a couple days ago asking about what
the price difference would actually be and I still haven't
received a response.
I just don't want to lose my deal or delay my supposed
7/18 delivery date, especially since
my $159 4GB memory should be here soon.

you will see barely any performance increase (most likely none) if you do upgrade to the T7500
-
I think you're worrying WAYYY to much. The T7300 is the ideal price to performance ratio. It has a nice speed and a great l2 cache. I'm very sure that you wouldn't have even seen the difference if you upgraded. Processors are so over-powered these days... The differences are almost negligible. You would only see the difference in synthetic benchmarks... but not in everyday computing and not in games either. I think you made a good choice and should stick with it. =P -
I would not worry about the difference & associated hassle. What will you be using the laptop for?
-
yeah dont worry, i have the 7500 but you might only feel good about its better superpi score
-
true .... other than bragging rights (& higher benchmark scores) it really isn't worth it
-
The T7300 is one kick arse processor. You are not going to notice much difference between the two. Save your money for something that will give your system a bigger performance jolt, like more memory.

You guys are probably right. I already ordered the 160GB HD and
only ordered the 512 from Lenovo so I could upgrade the memory.
I was originally just gonna get 2 1GB but jumped on the 2 2GB from
Fry's for $159. I figure I'll have a kick "arse" system - 15.4 screen,
upgraded wireless, bluetooth, and Vista Premium all for about $1400.
Not too bad. -
Coreldraw X3 for my designs. I'll do some music download
and picture storage but no gaming.
What about the post that I read that said the T7500
would replace the T7300 for the same price by this
September?
The T7300 should be enough, especially with a 160 HD and
4GB of memory. -

definitely not worth the extra money. if you want bragging rights, spend the money you saved on a slot loading dvd drive!
Change from a T7300 to T7500?
