I have been thinking that I should have ordered the
T7500 instead of the T7300 but I am afraid to call
about my order as I don't want to lose my combo
of discounts, (spp and 5% coupon) but I've been
obsessing over whether or not I should
have ordered the T7500 instead of the T7300 as
it would have been only been about $100 more.

So what do you guys think? Is it worth trying to change?
Will they apply the combo discounts to the additional
$100 or will I risk losing the deal all together? I
emailed them a couple days ago asking about what
the price difference would actually be and I still haven't
    received a response.

I just don't want to lose my deal or delay my supposed
    7/18 delivery date, especially since
my $159 4GB memory should be here soon.

you will see barely any performance increase (most likely none) if you do upgrade to the T7500

I think you're worrying WAYYY to much. The T7300 is the ideal price to performance ratio. It has a nice speed and a great l2 cache. I'm very sure that you wouldn't have even seen the difference if you upgraded. Processors are so over-powered these days... The differences are almost negligible. You would only see the difference in synthetic benchmarks... but not in everyday computing and not in games either. I think you made a good choice and should stick with it. =P

I would not worry about the difference & associated hassle. What will you be using the laptop for?

The T7300 is one kick arse processor. You are not going to notice much difference between the two. Save your money for something that will give your system a bigger performance jolt, like more memory. :)

You guys are probably right. I already ordered the 160GB HD and
only ordered the 512 from Lenovo so I could upgrade the memory.
I was originally just gonna get 2 1GB but jumped on the 2 2GB from
    Fry's for $159. I figure I'll have a kick "arse" system - 15.4 screen,
upgraded wireless, bluetooth, and Vista Premium all for about $1400.
    Not too bad.

I plan to use it to design and run a website store and run
Coreldraw X3 for my designs. I'll do some music download
and picture storage but no gaming.

What about the post that I read that said the T7500
would replace the T7300 for the same price by this
    September?

The T7300 should be enough, especially with a 160 HD and
    4GB of memory. :)

Not too bad? Pfft. I'd say pretty awesome! Don't underestimate it! I'm sure you'll love the system! =P

definitely not worth the extra money. if you want bragging rights, spend the money you saved on a slot loading dvd drive!
