I got my new Y580, and to my great disappointment, it came with a Canadian-Bilingual keyboard. If you're someone like me who relies on touch-typing and requires a familiar button layout across all the keyboards they use, then be warned that according to Lenovo, in Canada, they only sell Y series laptops with Canada-Bilingual keyboards.
If it's a non-issue for you, then it seems like a great laptop, if not, you may need to go with another brand, or get a ThinkPad.

That's really strange. Lenovo (and NCIX) both claim that there aren't any bilingual keyboards, but you experience certainly proves otherwise.
In fact, a Lenovo sales rep told me that "it's impossible" that I would receive one. She did, however, also say that they would take it back if it was bilingual, but YMMV with a return like that.
Good luck if you try it! -
Recently got a Y480 and its the bilingual keyboard layout as well. It took me a few days to get used to it, but I don't mind it now. I just don't like the redundancy of the backslash.
What bothers me more is the HOME-END-PGUP-PGDN layout.
