    Hey everyone,

Now that I have my new T61, I need a case for it. Any recommendations on a case that is light and compact, and will carry a couple of accessories?

    All info is truly appreciated!

    Thanks,
    Hayden

Get a nice notebook backpack. I always find these business type notebook cases that hang off one shoulder to be extremely uncomfortable.

A properly sized sleeve, and a normal high quality backpack. Avoid ones that are branded with logo's that make computer gear(Like Targus) since it makes it really obvious their is a 1k+ computer in it, which makes you a target for getting mugged.

www.ebags.com The Ebags brand is just as good as any other and it tends to be cheaper.

One thing to look out for is to make sure the computer compartment has enough padding. I carried my old 14 inch Dell Latitude in my backpack for over 3 years to and from class, never had any problems with the backpack.

I prefer timbuk2 stuff myself. They make very durable bags. I like them because they are a little more stylish than the bulky computer backpacks and bags I have seen. They also have other laptop carrying bags (and backpacks) if you don't like these ones.

Waterfield sleeves have a great rep. www.sfbags.com

A good sleeve and a discrete backpack is best for casual use, imho.

It's true about my Targus XL having a visible logo, but not every Targus backpack has a laptop in it. ;)

I recommend this one. Best backpack I ever had.

Hey everyone, I found a great case, perfect in my opinion, for my T61. I got it at Fry's today:

    http://shop2.outpost.com/%7BFZ7...m3IiD+GVA**.node2?site=sr:SEARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG

It was only 24.99 plus tax. It lists on the rest of the net for anywhere from $30 - $60.

It's very compact, very light, and fits the T61 like a glove! Also has 2 ample sized pockets in front for accessories. Padding is suitable and enough for my needs. Also has a limited lifetime warranty.

Hard to tell quality from pics alone. The Targus' reviews helped sell it for me.
