    Hey guys,

Just put in my order for an X1 Carbon! I'm super pumped - I'll be upgrading from a Lenovo X61s that I've had since 2007, so this is my first upgrade in awhile!

Anyways, looking to protect my X1 as much as possible, especially while carrying around in my backpack. My X61s got banged up quite a bit in my bag over the years, but I never used a case with it - just chucked it in my bag and took off.

I was just perusing around some sites and saw a beautiful (though expensive) sleeve from Thule for the macbook air - anybody seen one of these in person or have one for their Carbon? Curious if it will fit - see pics and link below.

Also, what are others using to protect their laptops?

For a backpack the custom fit sleeve/case from sfbags is a great option. If you are interested in something sleeker the Targus Ultralife Canvas Sleeve is very nice but more suited to a messenger bag.

Found the perfect sleeve, third time was the charm. If you are willing to spend a bit the Targus Ultralife Executive Leather Sleeve fits like it was made for the X1 Carbon. No break in required, fits perfectly from the get go.

Just a data point, I got the Case Logic 13.3" Macbook Air sleeve from Amazon and it fits the X1 perfectly
