    Hi all,

My dad went outside to take a few pictures of all the Christmas lights strung up in the area, and when he got back, I put the SD card into the card reader, and it returned with an error (something about an I/O error, I can't exactly remember). So we put it back into the camera, and nothing was there! My dad knows that the pictures he took were on that card since we were browsing through them on the camera before I put the card into the laptop.

I've had the laptop do this to me on another SD card I used. What's wrong with my card reader?

any chance the card was not fully inserted or removed during data read/transfer?

there are several SD card data recovery freeware programs available if you really want to recover the pics. format the card and then it should be easy to troubleshoot the card reader.
