As mentioned in a couple of other threads, I've done a clean install of Windows Vista on my R61. The only problem is when I use Lenovo's System Update, it wont install any of the Lenovo branded software, giving me the following error:

'This program does not support this system'.

I've tried downloading the programs from Lenovo's website but to the same effect.

I was wondering if anyone else has had experience with this problem?

How did you do the clean install?

So even if you downloaded say a chipset or wireless driver standalone file, it won't let you install it? That is really strange...

    Is this a 14.1" or 15.4" R61?

    Problem solved.

I'm not quite sure what happened but when persevering with the other updates, then trying to install the ones that didn't install first time round afterwards, everything seems fine now. It was only the Lenovo branded software that wouldn't install, other software such as drivers installed fine first time round.

    It's a 14.1" R61 btw.
