    Question is simple:

After clean install (Vista Ultimate + essential drivers, T61p + QuadroFX), tried to update Vista score. But, it can't update.

More specifically, at first, seemed alright. But, two sub scores (Graphics and Gaming graphics) are both 1.0. Other scores are just fine. When I retry, Windows can't even show some progress dialog box anymore. Just WinSAT.exe are running for a while and triggering aero scheme.

    Anyone who has similar problem?

    Thanks,
    MJ

People that shop in retail stores and don't carry around a USB drive with benchmark tools?

The Windows score is not a very good tool for measuring performance in my experience.

I agree there are better tools on the planet. However, at least you have some measure on EVERY machine that has Windows Vista. So, when you are window shopping (so to speak), at least you have some measure to compare from.

It would be nice if there was a really good industry benchmark number that ships with every machine, and is also available when configuring machines online.

    One can dream...
