I've got a T61 and I've made another partition on the hard drive in addition to the original one. later one I've deleted this new partition.

Somehow in the process I think that something in the boot records went wrong and I can't boot into the Rescue & Recovery partition and get a "cannot find operating system" error. I can boot into C partition and activate Vista.

When I've tried to create rescue DVD from within Thinkvantage, I got an error: "cannot locate the files needed to create the disc".

I've searched from the guides in the forum about clean install, but that can't help since I need to restore the laptop to it's factory shape.

The R&R partition exists and hasn't been deleted. Is there a way to boot manually from this partition and try to restore the entire computer from there?

    Any ideas?
