As I stated in my other thread, I'm ordering an R61 as a gift for my brother.

It came out to $720, and I'm having trouble ordering it. I got turned down for Bill Me Later, so I went to try paypal, but it won't let me use an eCheck through paypal, just a credit card.

The problem is this... I just moved out west and started a new job. Since I don't have a bank out here, I opened an account and deposited my first paycheck into it, so the money is all in that account. I haven't gotten my debit card in from that account yet, but I need to order this laptop ASAP if it's going to get here in time.

And you don't have a credit card? If you don't...you should probably look into it.

agreed, get a credit card. most banks are happy to take your money. www.creditcards.com will help you find a card to fit your lifestyle. also, then sign up for paypal direct account. they will deposit 2 small amounts into your new account, then you can have your paypal preferred account and order away.

I second using your bank account through Paypal. I've made significant purchases through them and have not had any problems. You don't even have to confirm your account (where they deposit a small amount of money to make sure it exists) to make a purchase yet.

When it says "Credit Card", it doesn't mean that you can't use a debit card. Chose "Visa" and enter all the info. You will be good to go.
