I purchased my own SSD, and both SSD and my edge 14" machine arrived last night.

I replaced the HDD with the SSD.

---- Now I can boot the CD, but I got blue screen of death after the windows installation tries to load some files....
I was setting it to ACHI, then Compa seems working... But is it safe to do compa now, then ACHI?
    Anyone has any idea???

    Please help.
    Thank you!!!!

From my experience, it's not about being safe, it's about if it will work. I believe it will not. If you'll install windows with compat mode on and later will change it to AHCI then you'll get BSODs during boot process.

What windows version are you trying to install, XP? As far I remember XP CD doesn't have sata drivers on it.
