I'm not a big fan of the classic Thinkpad design, but I happened to play with an E420s in a store and fell in love with everything...except the screen. It seemed fine when you were looking at it head on, but move your head any amount of space to the left or right and BAM, you're hit with the glare of a thousand suns. Exaggeration aside, the angle viewing glare was quite bad. This would present a problem given I plan to use the laptop as a portable movie player for my girlfriend and I when we're on travel, so we would both be looking at the laptop at an angle. I'm not sure how much better this would get in a lower light situation, but I dont have any way of testing it out so I'm not sure if I should take the risk or go with an E420.

Can anyone with an E420s provide some input on movie and video viewing experiences?
