    Can't Find Audio Drivers For Thinkpad

    i just installed windows 2000 on an ibm thinkpad 760ED and IBM no longer supports this model, any ideas as to where I could find audio drivers for it??

    this laptop has no internet connection, i need to be able to transfer the driver by disk

    yea but nothing there works, i was hoping to find it somewhere other than ibm

    Perhaps taking it somewhere it can be connected to the internet would be worthwhile. Something like Everest should be able to tell you who makes the sound card.

    from what I understand in the link posted by Nooorm, your audio chipset is ESS AudioDrive.
    Check this out: http://www.esstech.com/techsupp/faq-identify.shtm
    You should be able to identify first your exact chipset, then driver download is available in the same site.
    Under the unlikely scenario that the above drivers from ESS itself would not work, google: ESS audiodrive "windows 2000" drivers
    There are plenty of sites (e.g. DriverGuide, WinDrivers, NoDevice) where the Windows2000 driver for ESS audiodrive can still be downloaded.
