    Hello,
i'm trying to use the Q drive lenovo puts on the W500 which is around 9GB partition used around 4GB when clicking it it shows the create/access window when i try to create the DVD it gives there is no enough space. my C: doesn't have space but the DVD is empty

would having very low space on C prevent me from creating the DVD?

    few supporting images attached.

It's probably attempting to make an ISO or other image prior to writing.

Just call Lenovo and they will send you a set for free, explain to them that you can't create the recovery discs.

there is another way of making these discs, by recoverying your laptop to the factory condition (everything will be reformated)... this way the recovery disc image would be reinstalled onto the hdd from the recovery partition.... this is only way to fix this problem.
