    I asked this in a different thread of mine but wanted to give it its own thead... can you dual channel two sticks of 512 in a laptop like you can in a desktop?

    You can't on the 2378FVU, it depends on the chipset that the computer is using and very few if any have the chipset to support dual channel. The ones that do are are the full Pentium 4 and athlon CPUs that are designed for desktops, but used in some notebooks. I've been a little out of touch onthe chipset seen and such, but the latest n Pentium M chipset might support dual channel; so the very newest PM notebooks might support it like the T-43 or latest Dells.
