    Can you convert a USB external HDD to Gigabit?

    Is there an adapter that converts a USB ext hdd to 10/100/1000? Essentially creating a NAS drive at gigabit speed. Also, if you have NAS @ 10/100 can you somehow convert to 10/100/1000?

    You can buy a NAS case, pop the drive out of the other external, and put it in the NAS case.

    And no, unfortunately, you couldn't upgrade the other NAS to gigabit.

    thank you...with all of the ext usb drives that are sold you think someone would come up with a solution rather for either problem

    I wound also what what file system you nas use some will make you reformat you usb hard disk

    if that is issue for you
