Lenovo's site is confusing to me in terms of all the options I have for customizing a notebook. Is this configuration possible?

I bought a CTO T61 through Higher Ed with the 570M and WUXGA. The order was placed on 8/6/7 and the ESD is 9/8/7, so it is possible. But, depending on your purchase portal there may be limitations

    Umm aadadams, What's the part # on your CTO T61? I believe that's a 61p...

The part no. as taken from the order status page is 6462CT. If this is a T61p then I am very confused and the Lenovo site is certainly to blame. The computer I configured was a T61. Is it just the case that when one adds a 570M with WUXGA it "automagically" becomes a T61p.

Hmm. and You said 15.4" WUXGA? Where'd you order from? You said Higher Ed - but what selection under that? Specific School? University? K-12?

    Education>Higher Education>La>Products>Thinkpad Notebooks>T-Series for the T61

    and

Education>Higher Education>La>Searched for T61p in part number and used one of the resulting links to order the T61p

Hmm - I don't see 6462... Odd. Lenovo/IBM strikes again! :p Where were you able to upgrade from 15.4" WSXGA+ to 15.4" WUXGA?

Odd I don't see the part number either. Once the screen with the myriad to T6x series computers loaded I chose the ones with 15.4 inch screens and configured them all with WUXGA and 570M in order to make sure I was getting the best price possible then I ordered one at random because the prices were uniform. I don't know which one I started with but the order status page indicates that the PN is 6462CT. I went back to the quote I generated and the same PN is reflected their as well.

Can you repeat this now with any of the T6x machines listed there? If so can you walk me through it so I can check something? Thanks for your help :)
