Hello. I am wondering if I can get additional discounts through Lenovo if I call them? I remember when I bought my last Dell and Gateway I was able to get a pretty substantial discount to the price of the notebook by calling and ordering through a representative. Just wondering if Lenovo is similar. I missed the employee discount sale and hope this might be another alternative. Thanks.

You'll have better luck asking for small upgrade extras instead of $$$ off. For instance, telling that you'd buy it if it had a 2-year warranty but the price of the warranty upgrade is too much so you don't want to buy it. Flat out asking for money off doesn't work so well.
