    Can the antenna be removed?

    Is it built into the side of the lid, or can it be removed?

    Well yeh - you can dissassemble it slightly and put it inside the actual case of the laptop with very minimal reduction in signal strength. Why would you want to though? What's the point?

    because you cannot upgrade to a faster proc without getting this stupid antenna. I dont want to put it inside the case, i just want it off the case entirely.

    It will be inside the lcd assembly. It's not going to take up any room that isn't already there, so I see no point in removal.

    Unless you're looking to sell it...
