I was under the impression that the T30 supported only upto 1GB.
But now, I'm seeing some ebay sellers advertising that the T30 can take 1GB sodimms for a total of 2GB.
How do I do this ? do I need a firmware upgrade ?

I believe the max memory for the T30 is 1GB.

Yeah it can hold 2GB, I did that to my Dad's laptop last year.

Its one of the few laptops that let you swap ram out from both slots and not having 1 onboard leaving only 1 swapable.

I just contacted someone selling 1gb sticks advertised for T30 and he said:

" Yes the spec is outdated. You can run 2Gb of memory. The spec was written prior to 1gb memory sticks. I have run your model T30 2367 with 2 gigs and it works great!"

I just got this beautiful refurbished T30 (2367) and it has 2 512mb sticks for a total of 1024mb, but the 2gb would really give it a boost

what about T30 2366 series? any difference with 2367 in terms of max RAM?

    i am about to get refurbished T30 2366 series 2.2GHz, 512Mb, 40GB HD, built-in wi-fi and i plan to boost it to 2GB.
did you investigate which 1GB sticks works best with T30 and where to get them cheap?

    Bran,
i am not sure about the 2366, but I imagine it might also take that type of upgrade. I found the memory sticks on Ebay for about $120 each. The 2gb upgrade really increases performance. Ask the people selling 1gb T30 memory sticks on EBAY, they seem to be very knowledgeable about which systems will accept the upgrade.
