    Hi all

I am browsing web,ms office, reading pdf ... why my fans are still on?
(monitoring program PC Wizard 2008, CPU TEMP 43 C, Core1 39 C,Core2 38C, GFX 48 C, Core1 load 15%, Core2 load 9%). I use maximum battery life plan. When I turn on notebook the fans are quiet, after vista startup they turn on. They sometimes slowdown when I change maximum battery life plan to my own plan (identical maximum battery life). Is it normal?

Second question. I use office 2007 prof. I cannot open any my old excel files (created in office 2003 prof). It wrote "Problem caused by Btsendto_office.dll " created by Broadcom Corporation. Do you know where is problem?

    Thanks

Fans stay on until a certain temperature then they turn off. You haven't reached that threshold yet, so your fans stay on.

And you need to format 2003 office files to be opened by 2007 office.

you need to download the patch update >> 2. Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack HERE

I have also found it best to "save" your 2007 docs in 2003 format for easy sharing in case friends don't have 2007..

I am not sure, because now I am only browsing and fans are still on (never stops). It sounds when I tested my PC in 3Dmark06 (the same noise).

This works for me. But sometimes errors are again.

    Thanks to all for reply.

Yes regardless of what you do, if your cpu doesn't get to low enough temperature for the fans to shut off, then the fans will keep going. Just lightly browsing doesn't automatically means that the fans have to shut off.
