I'm buying a friends laptop off of him, and he's very computer illiterate, but I think he may have an amazing T60. He game me the model number and serial number so I can check what the specs on the laptop are, since I can't see the laptop right now. I have used the Lenovo site to get all the FRU's and cryptic descriptions, but is there a better way to convert that to something more useful than plugging in the FRU's into google and seeing what it spits back? The only things that I can't be sure what they are follow.
FRU first, then cryptic model name.
39T2679 DVD RAM
13N7061 14.1 INCH LCD DISPLAY FRU
0000000 INTEL CORE DUO (YONAH) PROCESSOR 667/100
41W1177 WWAN CARD TOSA
41V9920 FRU PLANAR CARD ASM ATI M54-128
41W1027 GOLAN WIRELESS ADAPTER CARD FRU
Thanks for any help you can give.

13N7061 14.1 INCH LCD DISPLAY FRU = 14.1" SXGA+ 1400 X 1050
41W1177 WWAN CARD TOSA = EVDO Card
41V9920 FRU PLANAR CARD ASM ATI M54-128 = System Board
41W1027 GOLAN WIRELESS ADAPTER CARD FRU = 802.11 ABG wireless card
What's the speed of the processor? -
I believe the processor speed is 2.0 Ghz, which would probably be the T2500 processor. Is that right?
Also, does that system board indicate that it has the ATI X1400 card with 128 mb of memory?
Thanks again for the help. -
Yes and Yes.
Next thing to do is go here to find out if it is still under warranty. -
Find the machine type and google it for the specs.

Thanks for all the help. I'm gonna get a steal on this. It's also still in warranty until may. Thanks again.

You may want to call to extend the warranty. When I extended my warranty recently they asked me if I needed any accessories. I told them no but the rep said the more accessories I bought the cheaper the warranty. I only bought a couple extras but in hindsight I should have bought more. I guess I wasn't prepared. The accessories were basically free with the discount they gave me on the warranty.
Can anyone tell me what I'm getting?
