From reading the many posts regarding SSD's on this forum I know I want one with TRIM but other than that I am not sure what to look for. Should I get a 2.5 inch or 1.8 inch. If I need an adapter or not and if I do which one?
Thanks for all your suggestions in advance!!!!!!

The T410 takes the standard 2.5 inch drives. You may try the 80GB Intel G2, it's still in stock and for sale for $224.99 @ Newegg, however if you want a bigger one, the 160GB Intel will run you $499 @ the egg.

Hey thanks talin!!! I know Intel is the pick of the lot when it comes to SSD's but, at the same time they are expensive too. I was hoping to get an SSD with a capacity of 128GB if possible? This http://tiny.cc/Kingston83 was one of them that I was looking at. What do you think?

it doesn't say on the page but, I checked the specs online and read a couple of reviews on it and it DOES SUPPORT TRIM

The "Kingston SSDNow V Series" has the Jmicron 602 controller, thats a really slow first-generation drive. Avoid at all costs. The "V+" would be debatable.

There are faster SSDs than the intel one, but they tend to be out of your price bracket. The 80gb X25-M G2 is a good choice. If you need more space consider a 2nd hdd in the ultrabay.

Thanks for the enlightenment Volker. Can you suggest a few faster SSD's which are out my price bracket. I will just wait a while longer or wait for a good deal and get a faster newer one.

I found this kingston SSD v+ and the price is a manageable $315 tax+shipping included

Ideally I would like a 256GB SSD but that costs about the price of my laptop LOL! 128SSD would be OK though on small side. What would be the fastest brand of normal HD at 7200RPM, is any brand the fastest for best price ?

You are going to find allot of competition on the SSD drive pricing.
I also think Intel one of the top dogs.
Yet if you are thinking of the Kingston route, newegg just started another sale today, yet only -$25.
Although not my choice of a ssd
